There clearance deals are also part of the reason that I have cut my Target trips back lately. Sometimes deals are too good to pass up and I end up overspending. But by doing this I miss mark downs on deals that I could really use. It's a win/lose situation.
Today was a good day at Target. While I did not need everything I got, I can justify most of my purchases by saying they will make my wife happy, and that's good for me. Here's a run down of the savings:

I started my day of good bargains off when my friend gave me a metal drinking bottle for water. Now it looks like I'm going to have to get a Water Filter. Hopefully it will end up saving money in the long run. Great gift by the way.
On Clearance I got the Martini Glasses you see pictured for $3.24 each (regular $12.99) and the Lamp for 75% off, final price: $22.48. Those are some great deals. I also picked up some curtains for 75% off. Since we just moved these will come in handy.
On Sale I picked up a bag of Purina Cat Chow, which was 10% off, plus I used a $4.00 off coupon from GiveABowl.com, saving me even more money. Cat Liter was also on sale for $12.00 (looks like I missed the bonus packs on these).
Milk was on sale for $2.09/Gallon, since I Kroger is not selling them for $1.99, I picked up this deal.
Once I learn to control my urges on impulse buying I will return to my regular Target schedule.
