Recently I sat back and took a look at my budget. There are several things I want to do and first of foremost is a trip I plan on taking this spring. In order for me to do this I had to begin saving. So I came up with a plan in my last post and I have been sticking to it, but at what costs?
First, I walked into Kroger a couples days after setting up the plan and right in front of the store was a canopy tent marked down from $89.99 to $22.50. It took all I had not to buy it. That was a great deal, but I didn't need it right now. I passed on it and felt like I've been missing out ever since.
I also made a pledge to avoid Target last week. I did and I missed out on a dresser that I had been eying. It had been marked down from $249.99 to $62.50. I wanted to lay in the isle and cry. I also missed out on a few other mark downs I had been watching, such as area rugs and sheet sets. Like I said before, I didn't need any of the stuff, but it's had being The King of Clearance when I can't buy Clearance.
Right now, I want to be the King of Me. That means saving as much as I can to do something big. I will buy stuff that I need when I see it on clearance and I will pick up some unbeatable deals, just not all of them.
Thanks for reading and letting me get this off my chest,
The King
