Fools Rush In

Well last week I posted about some great Stock Shopping Deals at Food Fresh. One of those deals were Green Beans for 50¢/can.

I did pick up 10 cans and that was a great deal. But this week they offered 3 cans for $1.00 (roughly 33¢/can). Was I wrong the buy last week? Not really. 50¢ a can is still a good deal. While I won't be purchasing any this week at the lower price, I will know if the future to wait for the 3/$1.00, since most grocery store offer the same deals every month or so.

Lesson taught, lesson learned.

59¢ Flashlights At Kroger

We've had some bad thunder storms in our area lately. I decided to gather all the flash lights in my house just incase the power would go out. Come to find out we had no working flash lights in our home at all. I decided to go to the closest store to me (trying to save money on gas) and that was Kroger.

I walked in the door to be greeted by a shopping cart full of clearance items. And in this cart was Everyready Flash Lights for 59¢ each. Marked down from $1.00. This is one of those instances I would have paid full price for the item, but didn't need to. Kroger also made their money back off the 6 C batteries I had to buy to get the flash lights fully operational. I small price to pay for peace of mind.

Stock Shopping Update

I got some great Stock Shopping deals at Food Fresh this week. Here's a quick recap:

Canned Foods 50¢ (Advised as 10 fro $5.00) - I picked up 10 cans of Green Beans for $5.00. This should last me a while.

Turkey Bacon 2 for $4.00 - At $2.00/pack I bought 6 and froze 5 of them.

They advertised Peter Pan Peanut Butter as 2 for $3.00. This was even a better deal than last time, but the No Sugar Added kind that I usually get was sold out. I may check back at the end of the week to see if they've restocked.

These were the best grocery store deals this week.
